Frazier and Son was founded in 1948 by Richard and Pearl Frazier. They started out making turnings for large chair factories then gradually evolved into manufacturing dining room and occasional furniture out of pine. When their children were old enough, Jay, Terry, Jeanne, and Raette Frazier worked with them in the factory. In 1974 Pearl opened up a retail section within the factory to sell the seconds that resulted from manufacturing. When the popularity of pine started fading, they started manufacturing oak furniture to try to keep up with changing furniture trends. Soon after, it became apparent that their manufacturing business could not compete with under-priced imported goods. A local upholstery company in Gardner, MA approached Pearl about becoming a dealer for their upholstered furniture and expanding the retail business. As the manufacturing side of the business declined, the retail portion of the store grew. Over the years Frazier and Son has developed partnerships with some of the most well known names in the home furnishings industry.

Customers are invited to come in and browse our 27,000 square foot showroom, where you’ll be greeted by salespeople that are helpful, but not pushy. Raette Trombly: Owner
Raette grew up in the furniture business, from playing in a sectioned off area of the Frazier and Son factory as a child to working in the factory with her parents and siblings once she was old enough. Eventually Raette was involved in growing the retail business before and after the manufacturing was discontinued. In 1995, Raette became owner of Frazier and Son and has made strides to convert the store from a warehouse style presentation to a beautiful modern showroom.
Raette is now enjoying semi-retirement, spending time with her grandchildren, and traveling as much as possible with her husband Arthur.
Jacquelyn Trombly: Co-Owner
Jacquelyn joined Frazier & Son full time in 2002 but has grown up in the furniture business. She is the granddaughter of founders Richard and Pearl Frazier and the daughter of owner, Raette Trombly. When she was a baby, Raette would bring Jacquelyn to work with her and she was often mistaken for a baby doll when customers saw her sleeping in her crib. Jacquelyn became co-owner in 2025 and devotes a great deal of time to her position as such. She personally selects each piece on the showroom floor and takes pride in providing outstanding customer service.
She enjoys spending her free time with her husband Mark, daughter, Abella, son Beckett, as well as the rest of her family including her beloved dog and hiking buddy, Quinn. Jacquelyn’s other hobbies include snowboarding, hiking, biking and just about any activity that gets her outside enjoying the fresh air.
Emily Cook: Showroom Manager
Emily is a seasoned furniture sales professional with over 15 years of experience in the industry. Over the years, she has developed a deep understanding of customer needs and a wealth of product knowledge. She is known for her exceptional customer service and ability to build lasting relationships. With a passion for interior design and a keen eye for detail, she is committed to creating an inspiring and welcoming environment for customers, while also mentoring and leading the sales team to new heights. When she is not working, she loves to teach yoga and other fitness classes, to run and hike with her partner, go on adventures and most of all, spend time in nature.
